Newborn shirts size really small race! Only two-thirds the size of other Gerber products in the same size. Perhaps even smaller if, after washing under contract. Probably only suitable for small preterm infants.
My son was a little on the smaller size for the first few weeks. The usual onesies and were a little too big for him. It was a good fit, but after a few washes very closely. Could it be that grew a little too much!
